Hi! I'm Jodie...
It's nice to "virtually" meet you! My name is Jodie Penrod. I'm married to Alex and we have two daughters, Jemma & Jessa. We have three dogs, Skye (a 70 lbs Goldendoodle) and Birdie (a Cockapoo), Mickey (a miniature schnauzer), and two cats, Rosie and Joey. We've also recently expanded into a funny farm with the addition of six Pygmy/Nigerian dwarf goats (Burrow, Brady, Benson, Billy, Bradley, & Barbie) and three chickens (Chicky, Coraline, & Biscuit). Needless to say, life on the farm is always an adventure!
In 2010, I restored my family's century old farmhouse in Southeastern Ohio and that's where we call home. I live just down the road from my childhood home and my parents are my neighbors! I am also a breast cancer survivor of over six years. I own a small side business in home decor and consignment items called the Red Bird Rose Company.
In my professional life, I have an engineering educational background, however, most of my career has been centered around business process analysis that leads to technology design and implementation, specifically for healthcare and higher education. My interests include classroom and hybrid enabled learning technology, artificial intelligence, and operational efficiency through the use of technology.

Currently, I serve as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Marshall University. I am a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), ITIL-Foundation Certified, PROSCI Change Management certified, and have a certificate in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering and a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology.
